These are my sisters and I'm so glad Alix and I made it home! I actually can't believe we made it.
Let me tell you why....
Thursday (day before last day of finals):
This day was filled with work, studying, taking finals, and studying more for finals. I didn't get to bed until 3am or 4am.
Friday (last day of finals):
7:30am Wake up to take final
8:00am Take organizational behavior final
10:00am to 2:00pm Write a 9 page ethics paper for my 2nd to last final
2:00pm to 5:45pm Work, interview for new position as a trainer (along with a 20 minute presentation)
6:00pm to 8:30pm Study for international economics final
8:30pm to 9:45pm Take last final
11:00pm Fall asleep out of physical and mental exhaustion
Saturday (day before flight home)
This day was filled with cleaning, laundry, Christmas shopping, running errands, and packing. I couldn't fall asleep and waited to pack until 3am! I don't even know why!
Sunday (day of flight home)
5:50am Wake up! (Flight leaves at 8:00am!!) Get ready, finish packing, and rush out the door!
6:45am Leave for the airport!
7:20am Miss the exit for the airport because the extreme fog on the freeway (good thing I was asleep during this time... )
7:35am Arrive at the airport. Run inside and see the most packed line for Southwest we've ever seen at the Salt Lake airport!
7:40am Little man from curbside saves our lives and takes our bags. We tip him $20 because that was all we had in cash and we run to our gate!
8:00am Flight leaves! (We BARELY make it)
9:45am Arrive in Seattle
10:00am Get a diet coke at the airport (to help us last through the day), get our bags, and drive home to Sammamish...
11:00am Shower and get ready for church
12:40pm Leave for church. Listen to all the pretty music and talks and struggle to stay awake. Listen to little kids re-enact the Christmas story and color and eat cupcakes with little 5 year olds.
4:40pm Come back home and lay on the bed to rest before a party at the Hansen's at 5:00pm and our stake Christmas devotional at 7:00pm...
8:45 Wake up and see my mom up but don't hear anyone else...
I decided to ask my mom how the night went. She was like oh it was so nice but everyone is really tired and I was like oh I bet. Confused why my mom was still awake if everyone was still sleeping, I ask my mom why she is up and she was like oh I want to work out. I was really confused because usually my mom doesn't work out on Sunday nights... I asked my mom why she was going to work out and she goes Ani it's Monday morning.
What?!! I couldn't believe it!!! I totally slept through the night!
That is my story. What an exhausting few days it has been. I can't believe how crazy these last few days have been. But I finally feel like I have caught up on sleep and am ready for a fun holiday with my family!
